Long ago, when the world was younger and people lived in deeper connection with nature and its cycles, teacher plants taught humans the secrets of health, layers of perceiving the surrounding reality, nourished, provided shade, shelter, and building materials, leading to the flourishing of civilizations…
However, as time passed, we forgot these lessons, the genesis of our origin.
In a world where technology dominates and spiritual matters are a subject of ridicule or transform into esoteric dogmas or radical religious formulas, where the scales tip extremely in various directions – and if one were to mute the words, they carry the same ‘cries’, more and more people are losing touch with the living essence of life, seeking to soothe their longing for ‘home’ in quick reflexes of pleasure and relief.
Despite this, plants continue to remind us of our true origins and heritage. They rustle, calling us into their dense, green embrace…
When we encounter them, they wait for us with openness like a forest, always ready to embrace us with its peaceful solace.
Theobroma Cacao, a teacher, the Good Mother ‘Madre Cacao’ – also known as the tree and drink of the gods, is one of nature’s most extraordinary gifts. Its fruits, called pods, are heart-shaped, symbolizing with their form their profound destiny. This plant, with its tender essence, opens the heart, awakens compassion, empathy, and enhances creation, giving us access to the inner, higher layers of feeling. This connection is a biochemical, alchemical, and essential ethereal dance. Subtle, tender, and delicate.
Other powerful plant teachers, such as ayahuasca, mushrooms, or cactus, help us uncover new levels of knowledge and experience, contributing to our growth and the development of humanity as a whole. Their presence opens doors to other dimensions and perspectives, facilitating an internal transfer of transformation and the discovery of our missions and place in the world. By maintaining humility and respect for their wildness, we can discover harmony with ourselves, with others, and empirically experience unity with nature. Working through what is painful, although for many it is a very demanding path. And it should not be considered by everyone. These are powerful medicines and should never be abused.
Disregarding trends and irresponsible explorations, it’s impossible to remain indifferent to their monumental power – the natural strength and expression of what nature is in its essence. Of what we are a part of as humans in this mystery of life. What still remains hidden from us. Science is currently exploring their potential and how valuable their study and discovery are.
“These ancient wisdoms flow through our veins, revitalizing our minds and hearts. They remind and teach us how to find our place in the modern world without losing connection to the source of life. Plants like ashwagandha, saffron, ashoka, turmeric, guarana, and garlic offer numerous health benefits, and their properties are valued in both traditional and alternative medicine worldwide. Using natural herbs and plants is not only a way to mitigate the negative effects of stress or provide herbal support, but also a relationship with plant beings that carry specific qualities, properties, and spirit.
In the world of plants, there is a remarkable phenomenon – the mycelial network underground. It connects trees, fungi, and other plants, forming an invisible, yet strong bond. This reminds us to respect the invisible yet very real layer that is powerful and existed here before us, and about the connections that form the foundation of life on a scale unimaginable in our contemporary paradigm. Through this perspective, we discover the value of harmony with nature and its cycles, gaining an understanding that every being has its place and significance in this grand interweaving.
It’s not about halting progress. Oh no! It’s about not forgetting and not excluding that part of ourselves that longs for ‘home’. Where hugging a tree or spending a quiet day by the river brings more than any ‘thing’ could.
Do you feel it, Dear Traveler, now… as life awakens after winter, and you stretch your hands towards the sun’s rays, feeding your soul with the sight of young leaves. With a sigh of relief, with a ray of hope.
These lessons are not merely parables from the past, legends of a bond no longer existing, but they represent a current and practical call, a song that all Rivers hum, which, when heard, can contribute to our development and strengthen our psychophysical health, and many more steps to come. Through them, we learn how to discover value, how to nurture and love what our planet offers us. In the ordinary – in what it truly is – our Mother. The Mother of trees, elements, fungi, animals, and birds.
This call, it beckons for breath, for clean water, for healthy, fresh food, for contact with nature.
As we journey through life, consciously listening to the whispers of nature, feeling its cycles, understanding its language and what it brings with it – we experience profound wisdom and lightness that emanates from our hearts, from every step, from every breath. We begin to perceive the beauty, patterns, and essence of what surrounds us, being sensitive to where we find ourselves as a civilization, like a wandering child or a rebellious collective teenager. One who is currently grappling with the subject. In different directions. All at once.
Yet the Mother loves and patiently waits… always.
Deep gratitude for the gift of life is a cue to receive these teachings with openness, in which we find our true nature, our place. In harmony with nature, with its cycles, plants. With family, with friends. With children. At a shared table. In such an underappreciated reality and normalcy. With space for mistakes and openness to rediscover anew…
We discover that the heart – open, full of compassion, empathy, and love – is the key to true solace, to feeling that we are ‘home’. We humans, of flesh and blood. So imperfect and perfect in our imperfection… searching for the way to Home, which is always here and waiting.
Good morning
Cheers & Love, Earthlings I’m writing to you with a cup of Cacao Alchemica in hand, a drink made from the seeds of a heart-shaped fruit. Bea
